Legacy and Love - Event Cancelled

We send this announcement with much regret, but due to the lack of contributions made for attending the Legacy and Love Family Reunion, Shanel and I will have to cancel the event.  We really felt this would be a fun filled weekend that would create cherishable memories.  We did receive many responses from you all agreeing with this sentiment and interested in participating, however we’ve reached the deadlines that we set with regards to acquiring the banquet location, food catering, entertainment, etc.  Individuals that submitted deposits have been fully refunded and also expressed regret.

Shanel and I wish you all a blessed 2012 and keep in touch.

We’re excited to bring you the 1^st Legacy and Love family reunion celebration, hosted by Monte and Shanel (Alsup) Evans Thursday, August 9 through Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Woodbridge, VA (suburb of Washington, DC).

Now, this is not your ordinary family reunion; Legacy and Love are not last names of any of our family members.  Legacy and Love symbolizes the Love shared by family and friends and the bonds that create memories that will last forever.

The Legacy and Love family celebration will bring together Monte’s relatives and Shanel’s relatives, along with our friends who’ve become extended family.  We feel there’s no need to limit our gathering of Loved ones.  We would like to reunite, explore, have fun, laugh, eat, celebrate, and worship with all of you who have made a tremendous impact on our lives. 

More importantly, it’s long overdue for us to gather as family.  As family members have grown and moved across the country, now is the time when we need to pause from our normal routines, come together as one to appreciate and observe the legacy we’re all leaving behind.  “But it’s a recession”…which makes it even more special.  We often think about the needless material items we don’t have and overlook the things we do have.  And one thing we know that we will have forever is the Love of our family.

The Love and support that you have given us through the years is greatly appreciated and we would like you to join us for a fun filled weekend in Washington, DC, specifically Woodbridge, VA where we live which is 20 miles south of DC.

This will be a “FAMILY EXPERIENCE” you will not want to miss.
